Эрмитаж — это один из величайших музеев не только нашей страны, но и мира. Эрмитаж – самое большое и значительное место культуры и художества в России.
Расположен Эрмитаж в Санкт-Петербурге. Он занимает огромную площадь. В главный музейный комплекс входят Зимний дворец – бывшая парадная резиденция русских императоров, Малый Эрмитаж, Старый Эрмитаж, Новый Эрмитаж, Эрмитажный театр. Собрание Эрмитажа насчитывает около 3 миллионов музейных предметов, представляющих культуру и искусство различных эпох и народов.
Историческая справка «Как зародился Эрмитаж»
«Эрмитаж» — слово французское, означает «место уединения», «приют отшельника». В 18 веке было модно иметь такой уголок и во всех садах, дворцах и парках были такие «эрмитажи». Обычно они выглядели так: на первом этаже таких павильонов располагались слуги, а на втором – хозяева и гости. Слуги накрывали столы с кушаньями и поднимали их наверх хозяевам, чтобы не мешать их уединению.
Известно, что однажды императрица, проходя по пустынным залам Зимнего дворца, случайно заметила картину Рубенса и долго ею любовалась. Именно тогда и родилась идея создания Галереи. Императрица приказала собрать лучшие художественные произведения из многочисленных загородных дворцов, и отправила особых агентов, которые приобретали всё, что можно было найти лучшего по части живописи, нумезматики и других видов искусств.
В 1764 году Екатерина приобрела в Берлине коллекцию из 225 картин западноевропейских художников. Сначала картины украшали дворец. В 1775 году для картин построили отдельное здание.
В свою созданную галерею императрица Екатерина II приходила отдыхать от царственных забот. Она любила проводить там маленькие вечера, на которых собирала вокруг себя ограниченный круг самых близких людей. Допускавшиеся в узкий круг посетители должны были соблюдать определённые правила, а именно оставить этикет у дверей, запрещалось даже вставать при её входе или когда она к кому то обращалась.
Так с коллекций произведений искусства, которые начала приобретать в частном порядке российская императрица Екатерина II музей начинает свою историю. Изначально коллекция размещалась во дворцовом флигеле, который и получил название «Малый Эрмитаж», но он оказался не таким уж маленьким: в нём хватило места и для парадных комнат, в которых Екатерина принимала гостей, и для отдельного крыла, где жили её фавориты, и даже для висячего сада, из-за которого новый павильон и получил свое первоначальное название — Оранжерейный дом.
Изначально Эрмитаж считался частной собственностью Екатерины II. Коллекция становилась всё больше, но посмотреть её могли лишь избранные. Для обычных граждан доступ был закрыт. Попасть в музей могли только приближенные ко двору, предполагалось, что в Эрмитаже они смогут побыть наедине с искусством и собственными мыслями.
Даже для первых лиц страны действовали строгие правила посещения. Для посещения необходимо было прийти во фраке, а военные должны были быть одетыми в парадную форму. За этим строго следила придворная контора, выдававшая билеты. К каждому посетителю приставлялся камер-лакей, который рассказывал о картинах и следил, чтобы тот их не испортил.
Для публики Эрмитаж стал доступен только в 1852 году, когда Николай I открыл Императорский Эрмитаж – первый в России художественный музей. Он ввёл ограничительные правила. Печаталось ограниченное число билетов. Попасть в музей не мог даже Пушкин. Лишь в 1832 году его друг Василий Жуковский, служивший наставником у сына Николая I, подарил поэту бессрочный пропуск.
Уже 1880 году музей ежегодно посещали уже 50 тысяч человек. Сам император любил гулять по музею в полном одиночестве: в этот момент к нему было запрещено обращаться по бытовым вопросам.
Строители Эрмитажа были рабами и не ценились, за свою работу получали сущие гроши. Они жили на стройке, либо в постройках прямо на площади. Это были каменщики и штукатуры, мраморщики и лепщики, паркетчики и живописцы.
После завершения стройки на Дворцовой площади осталось много строительного мусора, и чтобы выйти из положения Пётр III объявил народу, что любой может забрать бесплатно всё, что посчитает нужным, через несколько часов площадь оказалась пустой.
В 18 столетии стены Зимнего дворца стали портить крысы, и чтобы спасти их от порчи, по указу Елизаветы Петровны из Казани были привезены коты, которые избавили музей от грызунов. Им присвоили статус «охранников картинных галерей», затем котов разделили на дворовых и комнатных. Зимний дворец перестроили из камня, но коты никуда не делись, их переселили в новое здание , и они по прежнему находятся на службе музея, продолжая его охранять.
С 1762 по 1904 год Зимний дворец служил резиденцией российских императоров. В 1904 году Николай II перенес резиденцию в Александровский дворец в Царском Селе. С июля по ноябрь 1917 года во дворце размещалось Временное правительство. 30 октября 1917 года нарком просвещения Анатолий Луначарский объявил Зимний дворец и Эрмитаж музеями.
Но в 1837 году во дворце случился пожар, сгорело всё, и императорская семья осталась без крова. Положение спасли 6000 работников, которые работали днём и ночью. И через год с небольшим, дворец был полностью восстановлен.
Но несчастья продолжали преследовать дворец, и 5 февраля 1880 года в Зимнем дворце произошел теракт: Степан Халтурин покушался на Александра II и устроил взрыв. Царь не пострадал, погибли одиннадцать героев русско-турецкой войны, которые несли там службу.
Во время Великой Отечественной Войны в Зимний дворец попали 17 артиллерийских снарядов и 2 бомбы. В подвалах дворца организовали 12 бомбоубежищ. Здесь жили люди, сюда перенесли музейные коллекции.
Эрмитаж является самым популярным музеем не только в России, но и в мире. Его залы ежедневно посещают около 12 тысяч человек. А за год в нем насчитывается приблизительно три миллиона человек. В настоящее время в пяти зданиях музея находятся около трех миллионов произведений искусства, а сам Эрмитаж входит в 20-ку лучших музеев мира.
Информминутка «Интересные факты об Эрмитаже»
— Эрмитаж всё время перекрашивали в разные цвета. Был он и красным и розовым, и жёлтым. Бледно-зеленый цвет, в который здание окрашено сейчас, Эрмитаж приобрел в 1946 году.
— Государственный Эрмитаж располагается в пяти зданиях: Зимний дворец, Малый Эрмитаж, Большой Эрмитаж, Эрмитажный театр, Новый Эрмитаж — стоящих в центре Санкт-Петербурга на берегу Невы. Этот архитектурный ансамбль сформировался в XVIII — XIX веках. Впоследствии название Эрмитаж перешло ко всему музейному комплексу.
— Самым примечательным зданием Эрмитажа является Зимний дворец, построенный архитектором Ф. Б. Растрелли в 1754 -1762 годах. Он был в то время самым высоким жилым зданием в Санкт-Петербурге.
— Интересно, что в 1844 году Николай I издал указ о запрете строить в Санкт-Петербурге здания выше Зимнего дворца.
— Одной из самых полных и дорогих считается коллекция игральных карт, собранная генералом Д.П.Ивковым (1849-1912). Она насчитывает свыше 2 000 колод! В настоящее время коллекция хранится в Эрмитаже.
— Количество скульптур, которые установлены на парапете Зимнего дворца – 176 штук.
-Масштаб музея побил все рекорды. Эрмитаж состоит из более одной тысячи комнат, 117 лестниц, 1885 дверей, почти 2 тысячи окон. Главный фасад – 150 метров, а его высота 30 метров. Длина карниза около двух километров.
— Из картин, положивших начало Эрмитажу в XVIII столетии, до наших дней дошла лишь треть. Тем не менее, с каждым годом экспозиция музея разрастается. В 1988 году Эрмитаж попал в Книгу рекордов Гиннесса как самая большая картинная галерея мира. Чтобы посмотреть все три миллиона экспонатов музея, нужно пройти 24 км. Если же проводить около каждого произведения искусства по одной минуте, то на прохождение всех залов потребуется 11 лет – при условии, что вы будете бывать в Эрмитаже по восемь часов ежедневно.
— В 1960-х годах в Эрмитаж с официальным визитом приехал искусствовед из Голландии. После прочтения лекции, специалист пил чай в подсобке с сотрудниками музея и увидел ,выглядывающий из-за шкафа, край какого-то листа. Искусствовед потянул этот лист и обомлел: это оказался холст кисти известного голландского художника Хендрика Голциуса «Вакх, Церера, Венера и Купидон». Сотрудники Эрмитажа пришли в изумление. Известно, что рисунок был приобретен Екатериной II еще в 1772 году, потом уехал в московскую Академию Художеств, после революции вернулся в Эрмитаж, а вот сколько времени после этого он пылился в забытьи – установить не удалось. Полотно отправили на реставрацию, а с 2005 года картина снова находится в экспозиции Эрмитажа.
— Вокруг Эрмитажа ходят целые легенды о его призраках и оживших экспонатах, но самая главная из них – легенда о Петре I. Говорят, что фигура встаёт, кланяется посетителям и указывает на дверь. Но в кукле и правда есть шарниры, вероятно отсюда и появилась легенда.
— Есть истории и пострашнее, например, про египетскую богиню Сехмет с львиной головой. Ее скульптура стоит в зале Древнего Египта. Согласно мифам, богиня войны и палящего солнца Сехмет была очень кровожадной. Ходит легенда, что скульптура кровожадной богини Сахмет, раз в году оживает. И на ней появляется кровь, но к моменту первого просителя кровь исчезает. Говорят, что иногда в полнолуние на коленях скульптуры появляется лужа крови, которая позже исчезает.
— За полвека с 1711 по 1764 год в Санкт Петербурге построили целых пять зимних дворцов. Ныне существующий Зимний дворец — пятый по счету.
— На сегодняшний день в Эрмитаже живут 70 котов. У них есть паспорт, и они могут свободно передвигаться по Эрмитажу. Эти коты пользуются популярностью у посетителей, о них пишут статьи, фотографируют, приносят подарки. Эти коты внештатные работники музея. А американка Мэри Эн Эллин, которая посетила музей с внучкой, даже написала книгу для детей, посвященную эрмитажным котам.
— В коллекции Эрмитажа находится «Колыванская ваза» – работа русских мастеров. Она создана из твёрдого камня – яшмы. Делали её 14 лет. Ваза была изготовлена в 1843 году. Она весит 19 тонн, а вместе с тем кажется изящной и лёгкой.
— В Эрмитаже официально работают около 50 котов. Это коты-аристократы: потомки кота, привезенного Петром I из Голландии, а также потомки знаменитой и ныне утерянной казанской породы котов-мышеловов. Казанских котов выписывала из Казани лично Екатерина II.
— В 2014 году руководство музея установило «лимит» в 50 кошек – остальных ежегодно раздают в добрые руки.
— В коллекции Эрмитажа присутствуют органические экспонаты — древнейший ковер из шерсти, шелковая ткань из Китая, татуировки на самой настоящей человеческой коже. Такие экспонаты хранятся в специальных условиях температуры.
— Император Николай II очень любил автомобили. В его личной коллекции насчитывалось более двадцати машин марок «Мерседес», «Роллс-Ройс» и «Делоне-Бельвиль». Первую машину он приобрел в 1905 году, а уже через шесть лет их насчитывалось около 50 марок. В 1910 году специально для автопарка императора в проезде между Зимним дворцом и Малым Эрмитажем был построен большой гараж. Он был оборудован бензоколонкой, мойкой и собственной системой парового отопления. Император любил бывать в гараже и лично мыл и заправлял свежеприобретенные машины. Но в 1917 году при разграблении Эрмитажа большевики присвоили себе все автомобили, поэтому в коллекции музея нельзя увидеть ни одной машины Николая II.
